By accessing and using SyncMark ("Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

Description of Service

SyncMark is a collaborative markdown editing platform that allows users to create, edit, share, and collaborate on markdown documents in real-time with version control and workspace management features.

User Accounts

Account Creation

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

Account Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use this Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

User Content

Your Ownership

You retain all rights to the content you create, upload, or store on SyncMark ("User Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to:

  • Store, process, and display your User Content
  • Perform technical operations necessary to provide the Service
  • Make backups of your User Content

Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for your User Content. You agree not to upload or share content that:

  • Violates any laws or regulations
  • Infringes on intellectual property rights
  • Contains malware, viruses, or harmful code
  • Is harassing, abusive, or threatening
  • Contains spam or unsolicited promotional material
  • Violates privacy rights of others

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems or networks
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
  • Resell or redistribute the Service

Subscription and Payments

Billing

Some features of the Service require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you agree to:

  • Pay all fees associated with your subscription
  • Provide accurate payment information
  • Allow us to charge your payment method automatically for recurring subscriptions

Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial subscription periods except as required by law.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if:

  • Your account is inactive for an extended period

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. We will make reasonable efforts to allow you to export your content before permanent deletion.

The Service, including its design, features, and functionality, is owned by SyncMark and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • Defects will be corrected
  • The Service is free of viruses or harmful components
  • The results of using the Service will meet your requirements

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SYNCMARK SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SyncMark from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
